From The Heart/You Are 1 in a 101

Good Morning Everyone! For those of you that are here in the US, I hope you are having a great holiday weekend. While you are with friends and family having a cookout in the backyard or just enjoying the day off work, take a moment to remember all the men and women that served in the Armed Forces that gave their lives for our freedom.
Here's a couple of cards that I wanted to share with you...that is of course if Blogger allows me to post them. Grrrr...I am just about over Blogger...let's hope all the bugs have been ironed out and we can start a week with no problems. On to today's cards...I've been wanting to use this new Fleur De Lis rectangle set from Spellbinders...I think it's going to be one of my favorites---
Here's a simple Thank You for our Disney friends Kathi and Bob. They had us to their home the week before last for a cookout and even though the card says they are 1 in a 101...they really are 1 in a gazillion! For those of you that are new new to my blog, Kathi and Bob are Disney enthusiasts and I try to come up with a Disney theme for the cards I make for them---
That's it for today...Thanks for stopping by..If you have a question on the recipe or supplies that I have used in my posting today, please feel free to email me. I've got a couple of cards that I'm working on for The Cutting Cafe, so I'll be back later in the week to post them...Until then...enjoy your day!

Hey Cupcake-Cutting Cafe

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week! Each month Regina with The Cutting Cafe posts a "Monthly Inspiration" for your viewing pleasure. Here is my contribution for this months Design Team project showcasing cupcakes! Regina will be posting the Design Team's project 5/15 so be sure to check the Cutting Cafe for a yummy taste of inspiration along with a chance to win 3 files from The Cutting Cafe. I will post a reminder on 5/15. I had so much fun making this card using the Cupcake Printable Stamp Set 1 that features a 4 Piece set of CUPCAKES that is already formatted for you to create 4 cards quickly. Because my card is a 4.25 square note card I printed mine at 70%. For the background, I used the Hey Cupcake from the Cupcake Background Printable Stamps. For those of you that are not new to my blog, you know how I LOVE The Cutting Cafe's Background Stamps. The background is a little larger then 6 by 6 inches but can also be reduced in size (as I did here) and comes with 2 sentiments, the one I used and a circle word sentiments that can be punched out using a 1.5 inch circle punch.---Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 4.25" x 4.25" Square
Image/Stamp: Cutting Cafe-Cupcake Printable Stamp Set 1
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Cupcake Background Printable Stamp-Hey Cupcake
Nestibilities: Circle/Petite Scallops, Square
Dies: Heartfelt Creations-Posie
Tools: Fiskars Crimper, Paper Piercer
Accessories: Ribbon, Buttons, Liquid Applique, Colored Cord, Flat Back Pearls, Craft Yarn, Heavy Duty Top Stitch Thread, Craft Ink
Base Cardstock: Core'dination
Patterned Paper: Cutting Cafe-Cupcake Background Printable Stamp-Hey Cupcake printed on K & Company Patterned Paper (from which pad is unknown)

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by, I will post a reminder to check out The Cutting Cafe Monthly Inspiration 5/15. Enjoy the rest of your week...I'll see you next week!

A Couple Of Wedding Cards

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and for those of you that are mothers and grandmothers, I hope you had a wonderful day! We spent the day with my youngest son and his family followed by a most enjoyable evening at Epcot. Every Spring, Disney has a concert series at Epcot and Davy Jones of The Monkees has been a regular there as far back as I can remember. I was a huge fan of his some 45 years ago, and although my taste in music has changed, he gave great concert! He has put on a few pounds but still has a full head of hair and had a lot of stage presence. There was a lot of interaction with the audience which made me think that he knew his fans made him what he is today. The Monkees was my first concert when I was 10 or 11 years old and it brought back a flood of memories...I remember it as if it were yesterday.
Here's a couple of wedding cards that I made for my good blogger friend Lorene. This first one is a little different than what I have seen of the bride and groom done with Nestibility hearts. It's my version as I LOVE a man in a white tux---This second one didn't photograph well because of the shimmer paper and bling. It was made with the doves from The Joy of the Season Cricut Cartridge-That's it for today. If you have a question on the recipe or supplies that I have used in my posting today, please feel free to email me. I couldn't help but notice that I am approaching 100,000 visitors. Thank you for the support you have given me along the way. I hope you enjoy your visits as much as I enjoy sharing my lastest creations with you. If I have inspired you in any way, I hope you will take a moment leave me a comment and consider signing up to be a follower. I'll be back later in the week with something from The Cutting Cafe. Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!

Mom-I Love You-Cutting Cafe

Good Morning...Happy Humpday! I hope you are having a great week! Here is the Mother's Day card I made for my mom using The Cutting Cafe's Mom I Love You Text and the Holiday Tag Set. Because I reduced the size to fit in the Nestibility heart, the photo may not pick up the text inside of the letters but in real life it shows the I love you within the letters perfectly. The file unedited comes in three colors and the images are approx. 4.5 by 1 inch---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 5" x 5"
Image/Stamp: Cutting Cafe-MOM I LOVE YOU TEXT , HOLIDAY TAG SET
Dies: Nestibilities-Heart/Scallop, Heartfelt Creations-Posie
Cuttlebug: Love Language Combo Embossing Folder, With Love Embossing Border Set
Punch: Martha Stewart Doily Heart (with the hearts covered), EK Mountain Fern
Accessories: Ribbon, Glitter, Flat Back Gems, Brads, White Craft Ink
Base Cardstock: Core'dination
Patterned Paper: Colorbok
Other Paper/Cardstock: Colorbok, Beckett Expression 80 lb.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by. I'll see you next time...have a great week!
