When Life Brings You Lemons...

Good Morning...Happy Monday and for those of you in the USA and don't have to work today... Happy 3 day weekend! And let's not forget why we are celebrating today, let's give thanks for those men and women who fought for our freedom!
Here's a quick and fun card I did this morning using the Cutting Cafes For the Love of Lemons and Lemon Phrase Background Printable Stamps---
I had a request from my good Blogger friend Eunice to list the patterned papers I use, and if I am able to, I will start putting it in the recipe. For the base cards, I almost always use Bazzill, if I use something different, I will mention it in the recipe.

Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Stamp/Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-For The Love Of Lemons
Stamp/Background: Cutting Cafe-Lemon Phrase Background
Accessories: Vellum, ScorTape, Glitter, Craft Ink, Straw
Patterned Paper: K and Company-Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by and making me a part of your day. I hope to see you again tomorrow...till then...enjoy your day!

Kindness Comes In Many Forms...

Good Morning and Happy Friday. I hope you have had a really great week. Here's a quick card (as cheesy as it is) that I made this morning but it didn't photograph well and I don't have time to fool with it because my grandson will be here in less than an hour and I haven't even eaten breakfast or gotten in the shower yet. If I think about it, I'll try to get a better picture of it by taking it outside later in the day, but chances are, I won't...out of sight, out of mind so you'll just have to take my word for it---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 4.25"x4.25 Note Card
Stamp/Sentiment: Stampin' Up
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Sizzix: Stampin' Up Exclusive Embosslits Scallop Heart of Hearts
Punch: EK Arrow Border
Accessories: Ribbon, Heat & Stick, Glitter, Craft Ink

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by. I hope to see you back on Monday, til then, have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Love You Much

Good Morning Everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your visit and for those that visit regularly without leaving a comment, I'd really love to hear from you, and what you think of my blog. For those that visit and leave comments faithfully, thank you so much. Your comments are a great source of inspiration to me.
Each year, my aunt comes to Florida to spend the winters with my mom in St. Pete which is about an hour and a half away. Since my dad passed away almost 3 years ago, my mom's health has declined and has had several back and shoulder surgeries and is to the point that she really doesn't need to be alone. My aunt decided that she would take my mom back to Ohio with her when she went home last month. She didn't want to go but we all convinced her it was the right thing to do. Here is a card that I made for her to keep on her dresser. The image is so me...when I was growing up (and even now) I never had shoes on my feet. Even in the heart of winter, in the snow belt of Ohio, I either wore moccasins or tennis shoes. I'm hoping she will think of me every time she looks at it and know just how much I love her. It's an easel card that I downsized so it won't take up a lot of room---

Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Mini Easel Card-measures 4"x4" closed
Prisma Markers
Stamps/Image: Magnolia
Stamp/Sentiment: Stampin' Up
Cuttlebug: Heart Die
Punch: Stampin' Up Scallop Trim Border/Corner, Nellie Snellen Floral Set
Accessories: Ribbon, Flat Back Pearls, Foam Pop Dots
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed you visit and will be back again tomorrow. I won't get a chance to visit my favorite blogs this morning but I'll be sure to visit you this afternoon or tonight to see what you've been up to. Til then enjoy your day...I will see you when I see you!

Wishing You A Bird-i-ful Day

Happy Friday! Another week that just flew by...where does the time go? I got my Copic Markers on Wednesday and I don't think I like them any better than my Prisma Markers. After doing the color chart, the colors look as dark if not darker than the Prismas. The jury isn't in yet, but I think I'm going back to using my Prisma Pencils...they are a lot more forgiving than the markers. I'll play with them a little more but I just can't seem to get the hang of it. I'm having a difficult time blending and my coloring isn't very even. I'm wasting a lot of time and paper! Maybe I'll use them in combination with the pencils or maybe I'll put them in THAT corner with all of the other stuff I have gotten but don't use. Anyway, for the good or the bad of it...here is a card I did using them---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 5"x5" Square
Copic Markers
Stamps/Image: Magnolia
Nestibilities: Petite Oval/Scallop
Spellbinders: Tags 5
Fiskars Texture Plate: Squares
Sizzix: Stampin' Up Exclusive-Embosslits Beautiful Wings
Punch: Martha Stewart Scallop Lace
Font: Computer Generated-Squish
Accessories: Ribbon, Mulberry Flower, Flat Back Pearls, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you again on Monday. Enjoy your day and have a great weekend!

Thank You BEARY Much

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week! Here's a thank you card I plan to send my son and daughter in law if we ever get to celebrate Mother's Day. Every time I start to feel better something sets me back. Anyway, when the time comes, the card will be ready---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 4.25"x 4.25" Note Card
Prisma Markers
Stamps/Image: Whipper Snapper
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Cuttlebug: Baby Face Alphabet Die (tag)
Punch: Nellie Snellen Floral Set, Martha Stewart Fence
Font: Computer Generated-Andalus
Accessories: Brads, Flat Back Gems, Stickles, Foam Pop Dots

That's all I have today. I won't be posting tomorrow...I've got a dentist appointment early morning. Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you Friday. Enjoy your day!

Isn't Blogging Wonderful

Me...again! I wanted to share with you what I received yesterday from my good blogger friend, Silke from Germany. I had the good fortune to meet her through my blog some time ago. Not only is she a source of inspiration when it comes to crafting, she is one of the sweetest people that you'd ever want to know! This picture does not do the card justice, and even though you can't see it in the picture, the paper has a gorgeous shimmer to it. She uses the nicest paper and the card is even more gorgeous in real life! Along with the card, she sent me the little pizza box with scented soaps that smell SOOOO good and the pillow box is filled with what looks like paper brads...now isn't that just too cool. How many times have you wanted to use a brad on something but don't have or could find the right color? Well, as soon as I find out how she made them, I'll let you know. The flowers are from a Nellie Snellen punch which I have recently purchased myself, although I waited for what seemed like months for that punch, I love it! And of course my favorite that is not pictured...German chocolates! Last but not least, her friendship...it means so much to me! What is that saying..."Some People Walk In and Out of Your Life, and Others Leave Footprints on Your Heart" well she is one of those people that I feel so blessed to have met. If you get a chance, stop by her blog and say hello!

Happy Birthday Dora!

Good Morning and Happy Birthday Dora! Here is the card I sent to my good blogger friend Dora in Malta! If you get a chance, stop by her blog to wish her a happy birthday! Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 5"x5" Square
Prisma Markers
Stamps/Image: Magnolia
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Spellbinders: Flower Creations
Punch: EK Scalloped Diamond Border
Font: Computer Generated-Cupid de Locke
Accessories: Flat Back Pearls, Foam Pop Dots

I wanted Dora's card to be the first that I used my new Tilda Stamp. Up until recently, I didn't do Tilda, the biggest reason is so many of them need to be cut out and I just don't do that well. Between Sharon and Migdalia they changed my mind about her so when I placed an on line order and needed to spend a few more dollars to get free shipping, I got several so I think you'll be seeing more of her.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by...see you next time! Enjoy your day and again Happy Birthday Dora!

Bee Happy

Good Morning Everyone! First of all, I noticed I have a few new followers, I want to welcome them and hope they visit often. I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I was still under the weather so we didn't do too much of anything. We were suppose to get together with my son and daughter-in-law to celebrate not only Mother's Day but my husbands birthday but I thought it best that they stay away. The last thing Kim needs is to get sick! Last week when we did the Cutting Cafe Give Away, I wanted so badly to use Regina's new file called Cute Critters but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't cut those cute little bees out so I gave up. For those of you that know me, you know I can't cut a straight line no matter how hard I try! Well today's card features The Cute Critters Printable Stamp Set but only the sentiment portion---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 5"x5"
Prisma Markers
Stamps/Image: Penny Black
Nestibilities: Circle
Cuttlebug: Baby Face Alphabet
Punch: EK Arrow Border
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Cute Critters Printable Stamp Set
Accessories: Ribbon, Brad, Glitter

A Little Birdie Told Me...

Good Morning and Happy Friday! I hope you've had a good week! I'm so happy that you stopped by today and hope you enjoy your visit. I normally don't do cards just for the sake of doing them but since I got my Prisma Markers, I have been doing a lot of that lately. I've decided that I don't like my Prismas...the colors are much darker than what I like so with the risk of my husband filing for divorce, I ordered a set of Copics and hope I will do better with them. And if not...well I'll put them in the corner along with all the other stuff that I have gotten and then asked myself what was I thinking...lol---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Prisma Markers
Stamps/Image: Stampavie
Nestibilities: Circle
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots
Punch: EK Diamond Scallop
Font: Computer Generated-Peggy Font
Accessories: Ribbon, Brad, Stickles, Lace Trim, Flat Back Pearls, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today...thanks for stopping by! Have a great day and enjoy your weekend. I hope to see you again on Monday!

Happy Father's Day #1 DAD

Good Morning Everyone! It's not to early to be thinking about Father's Day...It's next month you know! Here's a quick and easy shaped card I did for my father-in-law. I say quick and easy, that's because Regina over at the Cutting Cafe has made it so quick and easy with the Shirt and Tie Cutting File. The file comes with 2 shaped card templates. The shirt and tie template and a template for a tie shaped card along with 2 circle stamps, the circle that I used here and a circle for dad's birthday. I also added the sentiment "Enjoy Your Special Day" from the Huge Father's Day Circle Printable Stamps---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx. 4"x5"
Card Template-Cutting Cafe Shirt and Tie Cutting File
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe Huge Father's Day Circle
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Accessories: Buttons, Embroidery Floss

Now how is THAT for quick and easy? I'll probably use this again for the Father's Day cards that I will be making for my sons. That's it for today. I've got a busy day tomorrow so I may not be posting again until Friday...In fact I am thinking about going to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday posting to free up some time for other things that need to be done. Anyway, thanks for stopping by...I'll see you when I see you...enjoy your day!

Here's a Mother's Day card I made for my good friend Gigi. I know it's not your traditional Mother's Day colors but I wanted to remember her on the occasion, and after all she is not my mother. I spritzed it with Shimmerz so it didn't photograph very well---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Nestibilities: Petite Oval, Square
Punches: Martha Stewart Large Monarch Butterfly. Martha Stewart 3 Butterfly, Martha Stewart Branch, EK Mountain Fern
Font: Computer Gernerated-LD Fundamental
Accessories: Ribbon, Embroidery Floss, Mulberry Roses, Flat Back Pearl, Shimmerz, Foam Pop Dots
