Happy Monday!

Good Morning Everyone...I hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful Christmas! Other than an absolutely HORRIBLE meal at Charley's Steakhouse Christmas Eve , we had a beautiful Christmas and Santa was very good to us. I don't have a card to post today and will not be posting everyday as I have done in the past. I'm taking a few days off to regroup and try to organize the mess in my craft room left from Christmas. I will be working on a special project that I hope to have completed by the end of January. I also want to get to know my Bosskut Gazelle so I will be only be posting a few times a week. With that being said, I hope you have a great day and I will see you when I see you...Happy Crafting!

Happy Christmas Eve! 2 More Gift Card Holders

Good Morning and Happy Christmas Eve! I've got 2 more Christmas gift card holders to post. This first one is for our good friends Gigi and Eduardo. We were hoping to be able to get together with them before the Holidays, but because she has been ill, it doesn't look like we will be able to so I mailed it to them and I hope they have already received it---
Here's the recipe---
Card Size:4.25 Square Gift Card Holder
Nestibilities: Oval/Scallop
Punch: Stampin Up Window Word, Fiskars 1" Circle punch (for inside pocket)
Sizzix: Hello Kitty Decorative Strip Die

Accessories: Ribbon . Foam Pop Dots
This next one is for my youngest son, Kenny and daughter in law, Kim. We had to come up with one more gift for each of them and were all out of ideas. When we were shopping Monday, we had stopped for lunch at their favorite restaurant and the idea of giving them a gift card for the restaurant as a joint gift came to both of us at the same time. I've been wanting to use this Popcorn the Bear stamp but never had the occasion to use it til now---
Here's the recipe---
Card Size: 4.25 Square Gift Card Holder
Stamp/Image: Popcorn the Bear
Nestibilities: Oval/Scallop
Punch: EK Arrow Border, Stampin Up Window Word, Fiskars 1" Circle punch (for inside pocket)

Accessories: Ribbon, Flower Soft, Foam Pop Dots
That's it for my Christmas cards. I won't be posting anything tomorrow but want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I will be back on Monday, hopefully with something new and fresh! Enjoy your weekend and have a blessed Christmas!

Welcome Christmas Into Your Heart

Happy Wednesday! Here is a card that we've sent to our good friends Gigi and Eduardo. They have a PO box and get there mail once or twice a week so Gigi, if you are viewing my blog and haven't received this yet, get off my blog and go check you mail! The picture doesn't do this card justice, the colors are way off. It looks like the base is pink when in real life it is a very deep mauve, the diamonds on the background paper are gold and the center layer that the tree is on is way too bright. Other than that, the picture looks just like the card...LOL---
Here's the recipe---
Card Size:A2
Stamps/Image: Stampin' Up Sentiment (Gold Heat Embossed)
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Cuttlebug: Snowflake Die (for the star on top of tree)
Punch: Martha Stewart Tree/Ornament, EK Diamond Scallop Border,
Accessories: Ribbon, Embossing Powder, DecoColor Paint Marker, Flat Back Gold Pearls, Craft Yarn, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today, I'll have one or 2 more Christmas cards tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Lookie What I Got In Today's Mail!

I'm just getting home from being out all day doing some last minute shopping and look what I found in my mailbox...it's a card from Min. Isn't it just about the cutest card ever? I saw it this morning when I visited her blog and she said the picture didn't do it justice and she is so right! It is even more adorable in person! She sent 100 of these...can you imagine making 100 shaker cards...that's not an easy task! I feel so honored to have received one of her Kaymin Kreations originals...Thank you so much Min for thinking of me!

Fleas Navidad-Money Holder For Dog Groomer

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a great weekend! Today's card SHOULD have been quick and easy but it turned out to be a nightmare! I used my BossKut Gazelle to cut out the cute little image I got from Art4Crafts and after spending more than 2 hours trying to get it aligned, I decided to call BossKut. I was on the phone with the tech for an hour and 45 minutes, and this is the best it gets. It's still "off" by about 1/32 of an inch but I guess it's better than what I could do cutting it by hand. There are just so many variables when you do a "print and cut" like the way the paper feeds into the printer, the way you put the paper on the mat, how you feed the mat into the machine and the way you set the laser up on the crop mark. You would think after spending that kind of money, it should align itself. Anyway...today's card is for our dog groomer, and other than the trouble I had with the Gazelle, I really had fun making it. Not only is she a sweetheart and so appreciative, she is a dog gone good groomer!
I used clip art images I found on line from Art4Crafts , they have some of the cutest images...I've ordered several sets so you will be seeing them a lot. Many free images are also available, some that I have used in the past with great success. You may want to check them out for the up coming holidays like Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day and of course Easter --- The card measures 3"x 7" folded and is the perfect size for a dollar bill or a check. The paper is cut at 7"x 8.5, scored at 3" and 6" then folded and notched out with a Stampin' Up Word Window Punch, a Fiskars 1" circle punch and Scor Tape to form the pocket. This is what the inside looks like---Here's the recipe---
Card Size: 3"x7" closed
Stamps/Image: Clip Art (for image on front), Recollections (for hydrant and food bowl and paw prints), Popcorn The Bear (for holly)
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop, Spellbinder Tag
Punch: EK Diamond Scallop, Fiskars Tag, Stampin Up Window Word, Fiskars 1" Circle
Font: Computer Generated-CK Wonderland
Accessories: Ribbon, Gold Flat Back Pearls, Brad, Scor Tape, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today, Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed your visit, I'll see you next time, have a great day!

For You...Warm Winter Wishes

Good Morning! I'm so glad you stopped by...I hope you had a great weekend. Our weekend was busy, 2 Christmas parties and some last minute shopping that turned out to be an all day affair. I'm not getting any younger and I really felt it yesterday! Today's card was for the host of one of the parties we went to. Years ago we made the mistake of taking a tin of cookies to a party for a vendor that my husband did business with, and now it is our "price of admission". It would be so much easier (and cheaper too) to take a bottle of wine...LOL!
Square cards aren't something I normally think about but the card Silke sent me last week was 4.25x4.25 and is perfect for a little note card. There is no doubt I will be making them often! Thank you Silke for sharing your talent and opening a whole new world of card making for me. The picture doesn't pick up the true colors of the card, it matched the cookie tins perfectly. Making the card was a last minute idea and I hadn't had a chance to eat lunch so I was munching on some popcorn and got oil on the ornament so instead of trashing it, I inked the Cuttlebug ornament and although I wasn't real pleased with the way it turned out, I didn't have time to redo it...I just hope the card didn't smell like popcorn...LOL. Let this be a warning to you, don't eat while you are crafting...I know I won't...for a while anyway!
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Square 4.25x4.25
Cuttlebug: 3x3 For You Embossing Combo
Punches: EK Arrow Border Punch
Font: Cutting Cafe-Fancy Holiday Season Printable Stamps
Accessories: Metallic Cord, Gold Flat Back Pearls, Metallic Paint Marker, Craft Ink, Foam Pop Dots
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit. And oh yes, thank you Carol, (I'll be over to visit your blog to thank you personally a little later) it was the bold that caused the double spacing, so instead of beginning with bold font, after I wrote up the recipe, I went back to add the bold...now no more double spacing! Hope to see you tomorrow...have a great day!

Thank You From The Bottom Of My Heart

Happy Friday! I know I'm late with today's posting, we went to a Christmas party last night and didn't get in til the wee hours and it felt so good to sleep in! I should have put this on auto post but was so busy yesterday, I never got around to it, and I didn't want to post it until Gigi had received the card.

Here is a Thank You card that I made for my dear friends Gigi and Eduardo. Although my birthday was in October, (which reminds me, I really must change my profile, I am 54 now, not 53 as stated in my profile...no wonder I don't know how old I am...LOL) for may reasons we weren't able to get together to celebrate until this past weekend. And what a great weekend it was! As you can tell from the picture they showered me with gifts. They really out did themselves, and I was like a kid in a candy store! Ever since I can remember, I have had a passion for Tweety. The Pirate Tweety is SO cute. You hide him then press his foot and he calls out to you to find him. When my grandson was here earlier in the week we had a blast playing with him! They gave me, not 1, not 2 but 3 gift cards...a Visa gift card, a gift card for my favorite cosmetic store, Ulta and another for Disney. I won't say how much they were for BUT I will tell you, they spent WAY to much!!! They also gave me this years Tweety Christmas ornament from Hallmark, 2 Spongeables, 1 for my feet, the other for the shower in my favorite scent, pink grapefruit, a Happy Birthday cupcake bath fizz, that looks good enough to eat, 2 Florida Lottery scratch off tickets, which by the way were not winners, and my FAVORITE...a talking Tweety birthday card that says "I tawt I taw a cutie pie...I did...I did...It's you!" And as if that wasn't enough, they took me to dinner at the German pavilion at Epcot. I can't remember when I had so much fun. Even though we don't get together often and sometimes don't talk to one another for weeks or months, words cannot express how much their friendship means to me...Gigi and Eduardo, thank you for making my birthday special...we love you!

Now on to today's card---

Here's The Recipe---

Card Size: 4.25 x 4.25 Square

Stamps/Images: Cutting Cafe Social Butterflies, Studio G (sentiment)

Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop

Punch: EK Arrow Border

Accessories: Ribbon, Flat Back Pearls, Heart Charm, Foam Pop Dots

If someone knows why Blogger double spaces (as in the recipe) and what I can do to prevent it, I certainly would appreciate a comment. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it drives me crazy (which is a short drive these days). I've tried everything I know to stop it but it doesn't work.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit. I hope to see you again on Monday! Have a great weekend! By the way, thank you for all the sweet comments and encouraging words ya'll posted on yesterday's posting about my card being posted on Stampendous.

Santa Came Early This Year!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! I've been wanting a Pazzle Cutting machine for a while and when my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas, it was a no brainer, but I didn't want it to collect dust like my Cricut does so I went to the expert with a few questions. Regina said it was a great machine but she liked the Bosskut Gazelle better. After doing a little research, I ordered one and received it Friday. The first 24 hours with it was a nightmare, I was ready to pack it up and send it back. Not only was it confusing to computer illiterate me but it wouldn't align properly and I kept getting errors when I'd go to cut something. I emailed Regina asking for suggestions as to what I was doing wrong. She said she had similar problems and suggested I contact tech support. Several phone calls and emails later, the Bosskut Gazelle and I are now best Buddy's which brings me to today's card. I love the shaped cards from The Cutting Cafe has but I can't cut a straight line. They are a snap with my new best friend. I did both of these cards in less than 30 minutes. There is no doubt you will be seeing more of these shaped cards. A BIG THANKS to Regina for her encouragement and support! The recipe is simple and doesn't need a separate listing---It's The Cutting Cafe's Gingerbread Boy/Girl template. I added some ribbon bows, googly eyes, buttons and brads.

That's it for today...hope to see you tomorrow...have a great day!

The Winners Of The Blog Candy Are...

Good Morning Everyone...Before I announce the winner of my Blog Candy, I want to say thank you not only for playing along but a sincere thank you for your continued encouragement and support of my blog. While I wish I could have 42 winners, I really feel as though I am the winner to have such a loyal following of my blog. When I read your comments, they bring tears to my eyes and I couldn't want for a sweeter group of people on my blog. You all have been so kind! There was a mix up with the gift cards, I realized Sunday that they weren't Visa gift cards at all, they were American Express. I have always purchased Visa gift cards at the mall...when did they switch to American Express? I'm not a fan of the American Express cards, so many places don't accept them, but not to worry, I swapped them out yesterday and you will receive a Visa gift card, when doing so I had also decided to up the ante and the prizes are as follows---

3rd Place Prize and winner of a $25 Visa gift card goes to #5---
