Happy Monday!

Good Morning Everyone...I hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful Christmas! Other than an absolutely HORRIBLE meal at Charley's Steakhouse Christmas Eve , we had a beautiful Christmas and Santa was very good to us. I don't have a card to post today and will not be posting everyday as I have done in the past. I'm taking a few days off to regroup and try to organize the mess in my craft room left from Christmas. I will be working on a special project that I hope to have completed by the end of January. I also want to get to know my Bosskut Gazelle so I will be only be posting a few times a week. With that being said, I hope you have a great day and I will see you when I see you...Happy Crafting!

Happy Christmas Eve! 2 More Gift Card Holders

Good Morning and Happy Christmas Eve! I've got 2 more Christmas gift card holders to post. This first one is for our good friends Gigi and Eduardo. We were hoping to be able to get together with them before the Holidays, but because she has been ill, it doesn't look like we will be able to so I mailed it to them and I hope they have already received it---
Here's the recipe---
Card Size:4.25 Square Gift Card Holder
Nestibilities: Oval/Scallop
Punch: Stampin Up Window Word, Fiskars 1" Circle punch (for inside pocket)
Sizzix: Hello Kitty Decorative Strip Die

Accessories: Ribbon . Foam Pop Dots
This next one is for my youngest son, Kenny and daughter in law, Kim. We had to come up with one more gift for each of them and were all out of ideas. When we were shopping Monday, we had stopped for lunch at their favorite restaurant and the idea of giving them a gift card for the restaurant as a joint gift came to both of us at the same time. I've been wanting to use this Popcorn the Bear stamp but never had the occasion to use it til now---
Here's the recipe---
Card Size: 4.25 Square Gift Card Holder
Stamp/Image: Popcorn the Bear
Nestibilities: Oval/Scallop
Punch: EK Arrow Border, Stampin Up Window Word, Fiskars 1" Circle punch (for inside pocket)

Accessories: Ribbon, Flower Soft, Foam Pop Dots
That's it for my Christmas cards. I won't be posting anything tomorrow but want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I will be back on Monday, hopefully with something new and fresh! Enjoy your weekend and have a blessed Christmas!

Welcome Christmas Into Your Heart

Happy Wednesday! Here is a card that we've sent to our good friends Gigi and Eduardo. They have a PO box and get there mail once or twice a week so Gigi, if you are viewing my blog and haven't received this yet, get off my blog and go check you mail! The picture doesn't do this card justice, the colors are way off. It looks like the base is pink when in real life it is a very deep mauve, the diamonds on the background paper are gold and the center layer that the tree is on is way too bright. Other than that, the picture looks just like the card...LOL---
Here's the recipe---
Card Size:A2
Stamps/Image: Stampin' Up Sentiment (Gold Heat Embossed)
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Cuttlebug: Snowflake Die (for the star on top of tree)
Punch: Martha Stewart Tree/Ornament, EK Diamond Scallop Border,
Accessories: Ribbon, Embossing Powder, DecoColor Paint Marker, Flat Back Gold Pearls, Craft Yarn, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today, I'll have one or 2 more Christmas cards tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Lookie What I Got In Today's Mail!

I'm just getting home from being out all day doing some last minute shopping and look what I found in my mailbox...it's a card from Min. Isn't it just about the cutest card ever? I saw it this morning when I visited her blog and she said the picture didn't do it justice and she is so right! It is even more adorable in person! She sent 100 of these...can you imagine making 100 shaker cards...that's not an easy task! I feel so honored to have received one of her Kaymin Kreations originals...Thank you so much Min for thinking of me!

Fleas Navidad-Money Holder For Dog Groomer

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a great weekend! Today's card SHOULD have been quick and easy but it turned out to be a nightmare! I used my BossKut Gazelle to cut out the cute little image I got from Art4Crafts and after spending more than 2 hours trying to get it aligned, I decided to call BossKut. I was on the phone with the tech for an hour and 45 minutes, and this is the best it gets. It's still "off" by about 1/32 of an inch but I guess it's better than what I could do cutting it by hand. There are just so many variables when you do a "print and cut" like the way the paper feeds into the printer, the way you put the paper on the mat, how you feed the mat into the machine and the way you set the laser up on the crop mark. You would think after spending that kind of money, it should align itself. Anyway...today's card is for our dog groomer, and other than the trouble I had with the Gazelle, I really had fun making it. Not only is she a sweetheart and so appreciative, she is a dog gone good groomer!
I used clip art images I found on line from Art4Crafts , they have some of the cutest images...I've ordered several sets so you will be seeing them a lot. Many free images are also available, some that I have used in the past with great success. You may want to check them out for the up coming holidays like Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day and of course Easter --- The card measures 3"x 7" folded and is the perfect size for a dollar bill or a check. The paper is cut at 7"x 8.5, scored at 3" and 6" then folded and notched out with a Stampin' Up Word Window Punch, a Fiskars 1" circle punch and Scor Tape to form the pocket. This is what the inside looks like---Here's the recipe---
Card Size: 3"x7" closed
Stamps/Image: Clip Art (for image on front), Recollections (for hydrant and food bowl and paw prints), Popcorn The Bear (for holly)
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop, Spellbinder Tag
Punch: EK Diamond Scallop, Fiskars Tag, Stampin Up Window Word, Fiskars 1" Circle
Font: Computer Generated-CK Wonderland
Accessories: Ribbon, Gold Flat Back Pearls, Brad, Scor Tape, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today, Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed your visit, I'll see you next time, have a great day!

For You...Warm Winter Wishes

Good Morning! I'm so glad you stopped by...I hope you had a great weekend. Our weekend was busy, 2 Christmas parties and some last minute shopping that turned out to be an all day affair. I'm not getting any younger and I really felt it yesterday! Today's card was for the host of one of the parties we went to. Years ago we made the mistake of taking a tin of cookies to a party for a vendor that my husband did business with, and now it is our "price of admission". It would be so much easier (and cheaper too) to take a bottle of wine...LOL!
Square cards aren't something I normally think about but the card Silke sent me last week was 4.25x4.25 and is perfect for a little note card. There is no doubt I will be making them often! Thank you Silke for sharing your talent and opening a whole new world of card making for me. The picture doesn't pick up the true colors of the card, it matched the cookie tins perfectly. Making the card was a last minute idea and I hadn't had a chance to eat lunch so I was munching on some popcorn and got oil on the ornament so instead of trashing it, I inked the Cuttlebug ornament and although I wasn't real pleased with the way it turned out, I didn't have time to redo it...I just hope the card didn't smell like popcorn...LOL. Let this be a warning to you, don't eat while you are crafting...I know I won't...for a while anyway!
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Square 4.25x4.25
Cuttlebug: 3x3 For You Embossing Combo
Punches: EK Arrow Border Punch
Font: Cutting Cafe-Fancy Holiday Season Printable Stamps
Accessories: Metallic Cord, Gold Flat Back Pearls, Metallic Paint Marker, Craft Ink, Foam Pop Dots
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit. And oh yes, thank you Carol, (I'll be over to visit your blog to thank you personally a little later) it was the bold that caused the double spacing, so instead of beginning with bold font, after I wrote up the recipe, I went back to add the bold...now no more double spacing! Hope to see you tomorrow...have a great day!

Thank You From The Bottom Of My Heart

Happy Friday! I know I'm late with today's posting, we went to a Christmas party last night and didn't get in til the wee hours and it felt so good to sleep in! I should have put this on auto post but was so busy yesterday, I never got around to it, and I didn't want to post it until Gigi had received the card.

Here is a Thank You card that I made for my dear friends Gigi and Eduardo. Although my birthday was in October, (which reminds me, I really must change my profile, I am 54 now, not 53 as stated in my profile...no wonder I don't know how old I am...LOL) for may reasons we weren't able to get together to celebrate until this past weekend. And what a great weekend it was! As you can tell from the picture they showered me with gifts. They really out did themselves, and I was like a kid in a candy store! Ever since I can remember, I have had a passion for Tweety. The Pirate Tweety is SO cute. You hide him then press his foot and he calls out to you to find him. When my grandson was here earlier in the week we had a blast playing with him! They gave me, not 1, not 2 but 3 gift cards...a Visa gift card, a gift card for my favorite cosmetic store, Ulta and another for Disney. I won't say how much they were for BUT I will tell you, they spent WAY to much!!! They also gave me this years Tweety Christmas ornament from Hallmark, 2 Spongeables, 1 for my feet, the other for the shower in my favorite scent, pink grapefruit, a Happy Birthday cupcake bath fizz, that looks good enough to eat, 2 Florida Lottery scratch off tickets, which by the way were not winners, and my FAVORITE...a talking Tweety birthday card that says "I tawt I taw a cutie pie...I did...I did...It's you!" And as if that wasn't enough, they took me to dinner at the German pavilion at Epcot. I can't remember when I had so much fun. Even though we don't get together often and sometimes don't talk to one another for weeks or months, words cannot express how much their friendship means to me...Gigi and Eduardo, thank you for making my birthday special...we love you!

Now on to today's card---

Here's The Recipe---

Card Size: 4.25 x 4.25 Square

Stamps/Images: Cutting Cafe Social Butterflies, Studio G (sentiment)

Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop

Punch: EK Arrow Border

Accessories: Ribbon, Flat Back Pearls, Heart Charm, Foam Pop Dots

If someone knows why Blogger double spaces (as in the recipe) and what I can do to prevent it, I certainly would appreciate a comment. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it drives me crazy (which is a short drive these days). I've tried everything I know to stop it but it doesn't work.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit. I hope to see you again on Monday! Have a great weekend! By the way, thank you for all the sweet comments and encouraging words ya'll posted on yesterday's posting about my card being posted on Stampendous.

Santa Came Early This Year!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! I've been wanting a Pazzle Cutting machine for a while and when my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas, it was a no brainer, but I didn't want it to collect dust like my Cricut does so I went to the expert with a few questions. Regina said it was a great machine but she liked the Bosskut Gazelle better. After doing a little research, I ordered one and received it Friday. The first 24 hours with it was a nightmare, I was ready to pack it up and send it back. Not only was it confusing to computer illiterate me but it wouldn't align properly and I kept getting errors when I'd go to cut something. I emailed Regina asking for suggestions as to what I was doing wrong. She said she had similar problems and suggested I contact tech support. Several phone calls and emails later, the Bosskut Gazelle and I are now best Buddy's which brings me to today's card. I love the shaped cards from The Cutting Cafe has but I can't cut a straight line. They are a snap with my new best friend. I did both of these cards in less than 30 minutes. There is no doubt you will be seeing more of these shaped cards. A BIG THANKS to Regina for her encouragement and support! The recipe is simple and doesn't need a separate listing---It's The Cutting Cafe's Gingerbread Boy/Girl template. I added some ribbon bows, googly eyes, buttons and brads.

That's it for today...hope to see you tomorrow...have a great day!

The Winners Of The Blog Candy Are...

Good Morning Everyone...Before I announce the winner of my Blog Candy, I want to say thank you not only for playing along but a sincere thank you for your continued encouragement and support of my blog. While I wish I could have 42 winners, I really feel as though I am the winner to have such a loyal following of my blog. When I read your comments, they bring tears to my eyes and I couldn't want for a sweeter group of people on my blog. You all have been so kind! Today's card is yet another card for my daughter in laws set...(I'm just about finished with the set)...I love these topper cards, they are SO quick and easy and require minimal embellishment. I have received several emails asking if they fit in a regular A2 envelope. The base card is 4.25 inch square. After the base is completed, I add the top that is cut with a scallop Nestibility to the base to measure 5.5 which fits perfectly into a A2 envelope. I am seriously thinking of making topper cards for the cards I will be making for my family and friends---

Here's The Recipe---

Card Size: A2-Topper

MCPT:Prismacolor/OMS

Stamps/Image: Penny Black

Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop

Font: Computer Generated-CK Wonderland

Punches: Small Marvy Snowflake

Accessories: Ribbon, Glitter, Flat Back Pearls, Rain Dots, Scor Tape, Foam Pop Dots

Thanks for stopping by! Just a reminder the drawing for the Visa gift cards for the Blog Candy offering for my Followers is tomorrow. If you are interested, you must be a follower AND post a comment under the posting titled Blog Candy at the top of this page before midnight EDT tonight.

Holiday Wishes

Good Morning...Happy Black Friday. I hope everyone had a beautiful Thanksgiving. Ours was really good. It was nice to spend the day with friends. My husband won a $1,400 jackpot on the gambling cruise which was more than enough to cover my losses. Between the both of us, we came home with $375 more than we started with. I know I'm later than usual posting my card but it felt so good to sleep in. Here is today's card, it is of course for my daughter in laws set and while it's not one of my favorites that I've done, I'm sure she will have 1 or 2 people in her office that are not her favorites...lol---

Here's The Recipe---

Card Size: A2-Topper

MCPT:Prismacolor/OMS

Stamps/Image: Penny Black

Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop

Cuttlebug: Tree Top 3x3 Combo Set

Accessories: Ribbon, Glitter, Silver Flat Back Pearls, Scor Tape, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today, for all of you that are going or have already been out shopping for bargains, I hope you have fun, as for me...I think I'll stay home and shop from the comfort of my home on the Internet. Have a great day, hope to see you on Monday!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Just a couple of quick posts while my husband is still fast asleep. These are for my daughter in laws set. This first one is similar to one that I did a while ago. When she seen it, she fell in love with the image so without duplicating it I wanted to use the image on one that I was making for her set---

Here's The Recipe---
Card Size: A2-Topper
MCPT:Prismacolor/OMS
Stamps/Image: Penny Black, Cutting Cafe-All About Christmas
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Cuttlebug: Babyface Alphabet Tag/Tree Top 3x3 Combo Set
Accessories: Ribbon, Glitter, Flowersoft, Silver Flat Back Pearls, Craft Yarn, Scor Tape, Foam Pop Dots

This next one, I wasn't sure about it at first. I was afraid there wasn't going to be enough color in it but I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. The white specks on the manger is flashback from the glitter---

Here's The Recipe---
Card Size:
A2-Topper
MCPT:Prismacolor/OMS
Stamps/Image: Stampendous
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Cuttlebug: Babyface Alphabet Tag
Font: Computer Generated-Credit Valley
Accessories: Ribbon, Glitter, Gel Pen, Craft Yarn, Scor Tape, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today. I wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving. We won't be having a traditional Thanksgiving gathering, in fact, I won't be cooking at all (no surprise!) The only family we have here is my youngest son, his wife and grandson and since she has a HUGE family and they make the rounds I just can't see putting them through another meal. We are going to go on a gambling cruise with our good friends Gigi and Eduardo and have the kids over tonight for pumpkin pie.

Important Information About Questions AND Blog Candy Drawing

Hi there...it's me again...I want to address a few situations that have come up! The more I looked at the Merry Christmouse that I posted this morning the more I didn't like it. I tried to pry the holly flat backs off and ended up ripping the paper so I had to redo it. I replaced the holly with heart buttons and edited the picture and the recipe.

The second situation is, I'm getting a lot of emails and comments with questions and have no way to respond. Please, if you have a question, it's very important that you leave me your email. I love to share what knowledge I have with you so PLEASE help me out by leaving me a way to reach you.

The third situation is the Visa gift cards that I'm offering as Blog Candy. I have noticed there are several comments to the posting but they don't appear to be followers. This is an offering for the support and encouragement for my followers ONLY. If this is an oversight and you want to be eligible for the drawing, please check to be sure you are following me, not only in your mind but on my blog as well. I will delete the comments that are not listed on my followers list. I also have noticed that I have many new followers that have not commented on the Blog Candy posting so please be sure you have done both...signed up as a follower AND commented on the Blog Candy posting at the top of this page. I want this to be fun but also want to be fair to everyone! Have a great day!

Merry Christmouse

Good Morning Everyone! I am SO happy you stopped by to visit. For those of you that are new to my blog, I am working on a set of Christmas cards to give to my daughter in law to give her co-workers. There are 22-24 people in her office so along with my own Christmas cards, it is quite an undertaking. I've have to rethink this whole thing. I'm still going to make the cards for her but I have decided to do ALL topper cards in all the same simple style. As I'm making one, I will be making 2 of the same card, so she will have 24 cards but 12 different images. This will work better for me since I was pulling my hair out trying to decide what image would go best with what paper etc. So the next time you see me...I'll only be half bald...LOL! Without further delay here is today's card--- Here is the recipe---

Card Size: A2-Topper

MCPT:Prismacolor/OMS

Stamps/Image: Stampavie

Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop

Font: Computer Generated-CK Wonderland

Accessories: Ribbon, Glitter, Flowersoft, Gel Pen, Heart Buttons, Craft Yarn, Scor Tape, Foam Pop Dots

Thanks for stopping by...I hope to see you tomorrow. Have a great day!

A Merry Little Christmas To You

Good Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a great week. I'd love to hear from you, so please take a moment to say hello! This is the 1st of a 22 or 24 Christmas cards set that I will be making for my daughter in law to give her coworkers. This card features The Cutting Cafe mittens from The Christmas All Around Set. I know Regina went to great pains to put the cute little snowflakes on the mittens but I had to cover them up :( . I recolored them and it looked like it would match the paper. I didn't realize it didn't until I got ready to put the card together. I guess my eyes are a little foggy this morning...sorry Regina! Rather than trash it I covered the snowflakes with the star from the Cuttlebug Treetop 3 x 3 Combo Set, and that by itself would have been OK but you could still see some of the outline so I layered the star onto a small circle. Not real pleased with it but it is better than trashing it. Anyway...here it is---Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Stamps/Image: Cutting Cafe-Christmas All Around, Christmas Circles Set 2
Cuttlebug: Snowflake Die, Treetop 3 x 3 Combo Set, Swiss Dot Embossing Folder
Nestabilities: Circle, Scallop
Punches: EK Diamond Scallop Edge
Accessories: Ribbon, Craft Yarn, Flat Back Pearls, Foam Pop Dots

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day and I will see you next time!

Whew...My Last 2 Thanksgiving Cards---

Good Morning everyone. What an exciting weekend. First the Cutting Cafe Give Away then the posting for my Blog Candy and most important...I am DONE with my Thanksgiving cards! They are all signed and sealed just waiting to be taken to the post office! Since I don't finish the cards inside until I'm ready to send them, this was quite a chore. I really ought to take a lesson from my good blogger friend Lillie, when she makes a card, she completes it, inside and out! I'll probably never be that disciplined or organized though. This 1st one is for my middle granddaughter, Chloe. It is just like the card I made for my oldest granddaughter last week. I usually do them the same, so there are no hurt feelings and they can't say that I have a favorite. You know how little girls are! The only difference is the colors and instead of the female turkey, I used the male turkey image for this one---
Here is the recipe in case you missed it---
Card Size: A2
Stamps/Image: Pilgrim Clip Art
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots, Babyface Alphabet Die (tag)
Nestabilities: Oval/Scallop, Circle
Punches: EK Arrow Border
Font: Computer Generated-Peggy Font
Accessories: Ribbon, Foam Pop Dots (lots and lots of pop dots)

This next one is for my Father in law. We always send him 2, one serious one and one just for fun--- Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Stamps/Image: Pilgrim Clip Art
Nestibilities: Oval/Scallop
Cuttlebug: Distressed Spripe Embossing Folder
Font: Computer Generated-Cocktail
Accessories: Ribbon, Brads, Eyelet, Craft Yarn, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy your day!

SEE POSTING FOR DETAILS.
GOOD LUCK!!!
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE MOST CURRENT POSTINGS!

As I mentioned earlier in the month, I have reached 100+ followers. With the untimely death of my sister in law and The Cutting Cafe Give Away, I haven't been able to give my followers the attention they deserve. All of you who visit my blog regularly have been so supportive and encouraging, I just can't thank you enough for your continued visits. With that being said, I think it's time for me to show my appreciation with some Blog Candy! I wasn't really sure what to do, I toyed with the idea of getting a bunch of "stuff" but we all have different crafting styles. On November 4th, I posted the question "What Would YOU Rather Have" and the majority said they would rather have a Visa gift card. So that is what it will be. I've purchased Visa gift cards in USD that will be given away December 1st. The prizes probably aren't as large as other blogs but I wanted to spread the joy so there will be 3 winners. The Grand Prize winner of $50, and the 2nd and 3rd place winner of $25 each. The winners will be chosen using random.org and announced that morning. The Blog Candy is open to my followers ONLY (after all it IS in appreciation of my followers). All you have do to be a follower on my blog is to click the "follow" button above this posting and follow the instructions...it's just THAT easy. Then leave a comment here on this posting (you MUST leave a comment as well as being a follower) between now and midnight EST November 30th. Thanks for your continued support and GOOD LUCK!!!

Punches: EK Arrow Border
